FAQ

Common questions about Meta Ads

What's the difference between Facebook Ads and Meta Ads?

Meta Ads is the current official name for advertising across Meta's platforms — Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and the Audience Network. Facebook Ads was the old name. The platform and ad manager are the same thing; only the branding changed.

How much does it cost to start Meta Ads?

You can test a campaign with as little as $5–$10 per day, though $20–$30/day gives the algorithm enough room to learn. Most small businesses see meaningful data within 2–4 weeks at a $500–$1,000/month budget.

Should I use Facebook or Instagram for my ads?

You don't have to choose — Meta lets you run across both in a single campaign. Where your audience spends time matters more than the platform. During coaching we'll look at your product, audience age, and creative format to decide the right placement mix.

What is Advantage+ and should I use it?

Advantage+ is Meta's automated campaign type that lets the algorithm control placements, audiences, and creative combinations. It works well for e-commerce with a product catalogue and some conversion history. For lead generation or brand awareness with tighter audience control, manual campaigns often outperform it — especially with smaller budgets.

How long does it take to see results from Meta Ads?

The Meta algorithm needs roughly 50 conversions per ad set to exit the learning phase. At a typical budget that's 2–4 weeks. Expect the first week to be exploratory, weeks two and three to optimise, and stable results by week four or five.
